The structure’s use of static/fixed walls in tandem with steel rope balustrades aims at selectively increasing views within the tower, allowing certain vantage points and walls to have a greater view of Blackwattle Bay, whilst others protect individuals from oncoming winds.

Moreover, through choosing to leave the structure’s joinery and connections exposed, we aim to draw attention to the structure’s construction, highlighting the technical elements connecting its timber elements together, such as its steel knife footings and Y beams.

Further, the structure’s prominent usage of timber can further be noted to be environmentally friendly, in which timber’s high level of sequestered carbon dioxide provides it with a low environmental impact
